I am a linguist and PhD Candidate at the University of Groningen, residing in the north of the Netherlands. I got my MA in Linguistics from the University of Amsterdam in 2009, and my BA in Scandinavian Studies at the same university in 2006.
My research deals with the way verbs are inflected for past tense in the Germanic languages, and how this can change and has changed in various languages from the mediaeval period to the present.
Other interests of mine include culture and cultural change in the broad sense, art, digital media, politics, and various other angles. I’m also the webmaster and co-founder of Evening of Light, a platform for the reviewing and releasing of experimental and alternative music, as well as the host of this blog.
