This here is a split between two electronic artists from Finland, Jani Hellén (here appearing as Jani H.) and the better known Uton, who has released multiple albums in the past years.
Hellén delivers a track in several movements, based purely on organ melodies. Sometimes regular, and sometimes with loops and effects thrown in. Throughout the different parts, the theme is mostly the same, though with all sorts of variations. Sometimes the song drifts accross calmly on waves of the organ sound, and sometimes we get some sparkling bursts of sound. It's a very relaxing, nice track, though slightly less interesting than the one on the split with Xenis Emputae Travelling Band from 2006.
Uton is mostly a drone artist, and that is very clear from this track. "Olemuksen muotoinen reikä" is a long, dark track, and it has a very obscure sound and low volume. Even with the volume way up, and with headphones, it's difficult to get a clear picture of what's going on in the track. Surely, there are a few sounds that can be picked up from the drones, but it's not much. Because of this, I think this track is not quite representative of Uton's sound, and not as interesting as the work on, say, Mystery Revolution.
This split was released on a very limited basis, so it won't be easy to get it. However, if you're into drifting, relaxing electronics, and you do come across it, it's worth it.
