Alphane Moon makes mysterious, layered ambient with influences from folk. The music consists of extensive guitar drones, combined with various forms of electronics. On Made of Flowers, Full of Stars we hear two very well-done tracks.

"Made of Flowers" is a long track that consists mainly of layered drones and other effects. The music has a very mystical atmosphere, but is also a bit sad. It reminds me of the vast starscapes, or the depths of the ocean. A truly beautiful track that certainly doesn't bore. The second track "Full of Stars", my personal favourite, has a slightly denser sound and a bit more variation. The song has a somewhat different character, but fits nicely with the first one. What is most apparent about this album is the originality of the sound. It is, in a way, dark, but nothing like most dark ambient, and it calls forth other atmospheres. No barren landscapes or abandoned factories, but spiritual images of the immense ocean of the universe. Together these songs form a short, but very good and variagated ambient release. Lovers of the (dark) ambient genre would do well to give this CD a listen.
